Like Heifer Project International, our company believes in giving a hand up. The Lollipop Tree joins Heifer Project International, a non-profit organization, in their quest to end hunger and poverty around the world while caring for the earth and its resources.

As successful business owners, Laurie and Bob Lynch wanted to find a way to give back. While home schooling their son, they became involved with an organization called Heifer Project International. Heifer’s mission of giving a hand up not a hand out struck a chord with Laurie and Bob. As food manufacturers and wannabe farmers, it was natural to align The Lollipop Tree with a non-profit organization fighting world hunger by providing livestock and training to people in need while caring for the earth.

A portion of the profits from the sale of Monkey Bread Mixes is donated to Heifer Project International. www.heifer.org

The Lollipop Tree Travels with a Purpose!

Laurie Lynch, founder and owner of The Lollipop Tree, and Karen May, master baker of The Lollipop Tree, traveled to Thailand and Myanmar in March 2007 to study with Heifer Project International, a non-profit organization committed to ending hunger and poverty around the world while caring for the earth and its resources.

Community Outreach

Heifer’s mission to end world hunger coupled with experiencing Heifer’s work first-hand inspired Laurie Lynch to share her adventure through an outreach program to the local communities. Laurie visits with local schools, libraries, and community centers to share stories of her time in Thailand and Myanmar and teach how small gifts of kindness can ripple into something much greater.
