Laurie&BobThe Lollipop Tree is a family-owned specialty food manufacturer located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Since 1981, The Lollipop Tree has manufactured LollipopTree® brand all-natural baking mixes, condiments and jams along with preparing exclusive private-label products for specialty retailers. The Lollipop Tree’s line of Good Simple Food®—Pepper Jellies, Artisan Bread Mixes, Classic Baking Mixes, Cookie Mixes, Dessert Bread Mixes, Dessert Sauces, Grilling & Glazing Sauces, Jams, Monkey Bread Mixes, Pancake Mixes, Scone Mixes and Syrups—can be found in more than 3,000 stores across the United States.

The Lollipop Tree began when Laurie Lynch made her first jar of pepper jelly on the kitchen stove. With the help of her mother and grandmother, Laurie prepared her family recipe using locally-grown vegetables. Soon her homemade pepper jelly was being sold in women’s exchanges, farm stands and specialty stores throughout New England. Mostly by word of mouth, demand for pepper jelly grew over the next five years. Soon, Laurie’s husband, Bob, joined the company and their young daughters, Julia and Katie, and their son, Sax, became the taste testers and sales force, adding the fourth generation to The Lollipop Tree.

In 2004, Monkey Bread Mixes were introduced to The Lollipop Tree’s line of Good Simple Food®. Monkey Bread, an all-natural, pull-apart bread, is the flagship product for The Lollipop Tree’s commitment to help end hunger locally, nationally and globally. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Monkey Bread is donated to Heifer Project International, a humanitarian organization that helps families around the world improve the quality of their lives and become more self-reliant while caring for the earth.

The Lollipop Tree celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2006 and to commemorate this event, Laurie and Karen May, master baker of The Lollipop Tree, traveled to Thailand and Myanmar to study with Heifer Project International. Heifer’s mission to end world hunger coupled with experiencing Heifer’s work first-hand inspired Laurie to share her adventure with outreach programs in the community and at local schools.

And now, in 2008, The Lollipop Tree has committed to an even higher level of natural, wholesome goodness-ORGANIC. The Lollipop Tree’s Specialty Baking Mixes will contain a minimum of 70% organic ingredients and will be Certified Organic by Quality Assurance International (QAI) which adheres to strict organic standards. Their Pepper Jellies, Dessert Sauces, Grilling & Glazing Sauces, Jams and Syrups will also contain organic ingredients.

Today, in addition to their philanthropic work, The Lollipop Tree maintains the same values Laurie started the company with over 25 years ago. Delicious, all-natural products together with outstanding customer service are the hallmark of The Lollipop Tree.
