PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE — February 4, 2008 —The Lollipop Tree is excited to announce that they have reached their monetary goal and have donated an Ark to Heifer Project International! Thanks to the generous donations of The Lollipop Tree’s loyal customers and 100% participation of The Lollipop Tree employees, enough money was raised to donate 30 animals in 30 different areas of the world. By doing so, The Lollipop Tree, its employees, friends and customers, have helped thirty families begin a journey to fulfill an impossible dream—to secure food and a source of dependable income. Each livestock recipient will “pass on the gift” by sharing one or more of their animals’ offspring to other struggling families. Heifer Project International believes that “passing on the gift” multiplies the benefits of the original gift for generations to come.
Laurie and Bob Lynch, owners of The Lollipop Tree, believe in giving a hand up. The Lynches have again committed in 2008 to match the generous donations made to Heifer Project International by The Lollipop Tree employees and their Factory Store customers in the quest to end hunger and poverty around the world while caring for the earth and its resources.
The Lollipop Tree also donates a portion of its proceeds from the sale of Monkey Bread Mixes to The Heifer Foundation, an organization that develops and manages endowments to support the work of Heifer Project International.
